How large is FLCC?
FLCC is a 36-hole facility with a driving range, four chipping greens with practice bunkers and a putting green. All together, there are approximately 300 acres of land located just ten minutes from downtown Fort Lauderdale.
How many golfing members do you have?
There are around 500 Golfing members. With 36 holes, FLCC is well below the average number of golf members per course, which leaves plenty of room for tee times, it's very easy to get on the course at FLCC.
Do you have an active program for Women?
Yes! we have two very active ladies golf programs for those who like to play 18 holes or just 9 in a more easygoing format. Women are welcome to play at all times and our membership welcomes new ladies with open arms. Tuesday morning is Ladies' Day and Thursday morning sees our 9 holers enjoying the courses. The Women's Golf Association at Fort Lauderdale Country Club has over 100 members and growing, it's the friendliest Ladies program around.
Are tee times required?
Although not required, they are recommended to ensure the start time of a member's preference. Equity members can make tee times well in advance and other membership types can make tee times as early as 72 hours in advance. Tee times are mainly needed for Saturday mornings.
Is it easy to pick up a game?
Yes! It could not be easier! Tuesday is Ladies' Day. There are Men's Groups every day, with formal groups on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Another group of men and women (of all handicaps) play on Tuesday and Thursday at 1 p.m. The 9-hole ladies play on Thursday mornings. Many younger members often play on Wednesday and Friday afternoons and earlier on Saturdays. Sunday morning is also popular for a men's and ladies' throw in.
Is there a cart fee every time I play?
Yes. The cart fee for members is $27 per golfer, there is no greens fee for our golfing members. Beginning November 1, the cart fee is $30 per golfer.
Is walking the course permitted?
Yes. Members may walk the course anytime. There is a $12 walking fee.
Are there any tennis courts?
There are no tennis courts on property, but members of FLCC have access to the tennis courts at Coral Ridge Yacht Club.
Are children under 18 years of age permitted in the dining room or to play golf?
Yes! Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the Club. Holiday events are planned throughout the year for children. The golf professionals also hold clinics and a summer academy for kids. From brunch to dinner and out on the course, children are a wonderful site at the Club.
What is the dining room dress code?
Jackets are not required for dining, although tee shirts, tank tops and short shorts are not acceptable dress; smart denim is allowed. Traditional golf attire is expected on the golf course along with soft spikes.
Does the membership include my spouse?
Is there a trial membership to see if I like the club?
