Womens Golf

We boast the finest ladies golf program in our South Florida area. On any day visitors will see our ladies playing golf in groups or mixed couples.

In fact, it’s rare to not see our ladies on the golf course no matter when you visit!

New women members are welcomed warmly by members no matter if they are excellent or novice golf players, or even have yet to get the “golf bug” and want to learn in a very low pressure and welcoming environment. Women have no restrictions on play and can find a game to suit as easily as any other member.

2018 Ladies Golf Trip to Arizona

2020 Ladies Golf Social Gathering
  • Women's Golf Association
    • Fort Lauderdale Country Club Women’s Golf Association is one of the largest Women’s Golf Associations in Broward County.

WGA members are friendly, enthusiastic ladies who share a common bond at Fort Lauderdale Country Club -- the love of golf. All ladies are invited to join the WGA and see what a great experience golfing can be.

Dues are used to fund the weekly prize pool and two luncheons during the year (the Holiday and End-Of-Year parties). There are approximately twenty members who serve on the WGA Board, devoting their time and effort to make sure that the WGA experience is the best it can be for women of all skill levels!

Tuesday is Ladies’ Day at the club when there are organized games of various formats. The advantage of two courses is Ladies Day doesn't exclude the men from being able to play golf. After golf, most women enjoy lunch together in the upstairs dining room.

Prizes of Pro Shop credit are awarded on a weekly basis. At the end of the fiscal year in February, prizes are awarded for Ringers, Birdies, and Most Improved.

All FLCC ladies can participate in Interclub matches set up by the professional staff. Our ladies also participate in the Broward Summer League, which runs from the middle of April through the middle of October. These are all great opportunities for our ladies to play with other South Florida golfers.

  • Ladies' Nine Hole Golf Association
    • This ladies' association grew to 66 members at the end of 2022

Some of the members are new golfers, while others are ladies who no longer want to play 18 holes due to injuries etc., or ladies who are just returning to golf. You will find that they are learning many aspects of golf, they are very compatible and are there mainly just to play golf and have fun.

Their mission is to learn how to play golf by having clinics once a week, a mentor that helps with rules/regulations, gaining experience, but mainly to make new friends and have fun!

The nominal dues covers prizes for different events on the course, a yearly book with scheduled tournament dates, member information, special luncheons throughout the year, and golf definitions.

The Nine Hole Ladies meet officially on every Thursdays for a 10:00 a.m. shotgun tee time during the season, which is from October to May. Many of the ladies stay for lunch after the nine holes, which is a great way to meet and get to know each other.

In season, nine holers are greeted at 9:30 am with a free clinic from the PGA professional staff prior to their tee time.

During the summer months they tee off at 9:30 a.m without a clinic.

Weekly prizes of Pro Shop credit are awarded, and at the end of the fiscal year in February prizes are awarded for ringers, birdies and most improved.
